Rose La Bohème was born from a love of flowers, colour and everyday beauty.
Julie Brantveyn was born in Kyiv, Ukraine, and came to the United States more than thirty-five years ago. After three decades in the legal profession, she found painting — first as an outlet, and then as a way of putting more colour and optimism into ordinary days.
Growing up in Kyiv, one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, she was surrounded by blooming chestnut trees, cherry blossoms, lilacs, roses and peonies. Those gardens are still where every design begins.
She designs for one reason: so that a woman putting on one of her pieces feels beautiful. Nothing makes her happier than imagining someone wearing something she made — and smiling.
